Instructions:
Speech Critiques: (3 page minimum)
For this assignment, students will select 3 of the persuasive speeches (links below) to observe on YouTube and provide a (one page minimum) critique for each. The critique should include the following:
1. Was the topic appropriate for the occasion? (A persuasive speech assignment in a college speech course) Why or why not?
2. Was the thesis clear and well-supported? Students will justify the response.
3. What type of speech delivery was used? (extemporaneous, impromptu, manuscript or memorized)
4. What was your overall impression of the speaker and the speech?
5. Using the concepts in the text (Chapters 11 and 12) for support, what grade would you give this speech and why?
