As for the assignment, there are two parts to this module’s assignment. You will be analyzing data to determine the additional value of having a fireplace on a house sale price. While this sounds simple, there are some pretty advanced statistical analysis tools that we can use to really dig into this. In the first step, you will do a t-test using the given data. Make sure that you clearly specify the null hypothesis and alternate hypothesis that you are evaluating.
For this assignment, you will submit the Excel spreadsheet and also a written report that describes and documents your analysis. I would recommend that you create a Word document and write that report as you go along. Your report should include the answers to the questions that are posed in the instructions, a discussion of your process and results for each step, and any graphs/charts that are created. This is a good opportunity to practice formatting your data analysis for someone else to read and understand why decisions are being made.
