ANALYSIS:
Project Topic – The Generic Healthcare Company is deploying the bulk of its workforce to work
remotely in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. This will entail the unprecedented need for cloud
resources for virtual desktop environments.
Problem Statement or Project Purpose – The purpose of the project is to deliver the necessary
resources for working remotely in a cloud, or virtual, desktop environment.
DESIGN and DEVELOPMENT:

1. Ensure the availability of needed hardware, replace what is required
2. Ensure the availability of licenses for virtual desktops.
3. Provide continued support for the transition to remote work in the cloud.
b. Project Outcomes and Deliverables –
1. The successful transition of 3000+ employees to a virtual office
environment via the cloud
2. Replacement of legacy equipment ill-suited for remote work.
3. Strengthening of our cybersecurity infrastructure given the new exposures.
c. Projected Project End Date – 5/1/2021
IMPLEMENTATION and EVALUATION:
Describe how you will approach the execution of your project –
Stage 1 will be evaluating our current cloud capacity for virtual desktop environments and
increasing it as required. Increasing the staffing for the cyber security division will also occur
during stage 1.
Stage 2 will be the deployment of the new virtual licenses
Stage 3 will encompass the initial deployment of users with compatible equipment to their remote
locations.
Stage 4 will run concurrent with 3, issuing needed equipment to those users whose current ( Dell 5010 and 5070 thin clients, web cameras, displays )
equipment is not suitable for the remote work.
Stage 5 Ensuring security guidelines are being met for the new remote workers.
