Key points for your dated entries:
The policy name and the date it was passed
An overview of the policy, including where the policy originated
Include this information within the captions on your timeline – make sure captions are relevant & specific
Why the policy was created
One court case that influenced the development of the policy, includes:
Date of court case
Background of the court case
The ruling, if applicable
Impact at the time of decision
One news article (you can use news media coverage here as well) related to the case/policy. Include an explanation, a media like or image, and a URL link
whenever applicable.
Changes to policy through the years, and up until today (2022), on your timeline. Be sure to include the years and related text to explain changes.
Examples for the above include explanations, policy examples, illustrations, statistics, analogies, quotations from relevant authorities, etc.
