The purpose of this discussion is to have you identify the importance of third-party library testing. Third-party libraries are used all over the world in development shops. Often, most companies will use more third-party lines of code rather than code that they create themselves. Vulnerabilities from compliance, licenses, and other threats can occur. Due to this, it’s important to know why you are testing someone else’s code. Sometimes there are copyright laws and EULA agreements that prevent reverse engineering. However, it’s also good to know when not to test third-party code and where the legal limitations are.
