The task is to write a transcript of my personal chosen study “self profiling in digital media” specifically diving into “online and offline” personalities on Facebook, and trying to fit in with social norms. There is no specific word limit but must include at least 3 academic sources.
The project should not just give a technological description, nor a historical narrative of the case study. It must explore the cultural, social and political dimensions and impacts of the technology, and make a specific argument.
The transcript’s main point should include the idea of online and offline identities (specifically Facebook) profiling having an effect on one’s self-identity and how one will change their self-representation in real life and on media platforms.
Criteria: Demonstrates clear focus and a sophisticated conceptual argument; original use and evaluation of relevant evidence/examples.
Sources are appropriate, highly relevant to topic and clearly related to argument.
