Instructions
You are to write a 4000 (at least) word research essay on a topic that is approved by
the Instructor via email. Group work is NOT allowed.
The article is not just collecting and summarizing material from the references you
use. It must reflect signs of understanding and creativity such as analysis, new
ideas/solutions, future prospects…
Assignment topics could cover: (you must get the approval of the instructor on the
topic. Failing to do so will result in grade deduction on your paper)

Suggestions/Example of Article Topics (also see the course Learning
Objectives and the chapters listed):
Business intelligence
Your research paper shall include the following components:
1 Contribution Title (see the posted style file for more details)
3 Contribution section: to discuss new ideas, solutions, suggestions,
evaluations..etc.
4 Reference citations in the form “Johnson and Miguel (2009, p. 50)” citing to the
specific page of the relevant filed document, article and book.
5 Bibliography in alphabetical order by surname of author must include webpage
of prospectus, and all other documents cited in footnotes.
6 The use of illustrations is encouraged.

Format of submission
You must submit the research paper through Turnitin.com (details will follow in a
separate email) using Microsoft Word. The paper must follow the LNCS style sheet.

template will be provided for you on the portal in the “research article” folder.
Word Limit
The 4000 words limit does not apply to appendices, references and bibliography.
Presentation
Students should give a 10-minute presentation covering their essay topic.

subject and this is incorporated into novel conclusions.
Organisation of Material
Exceptional clarity of presentation that demonstrates ability to attend to
all detailed aspects of organisation and structure of discussion and all
supporting evidence. The work has the qualities consistent with
publishable creative material.
