The course is Global supply chain management.
We played a chocolate factory game over a five weeks period (1 week each in real life each was assumed to be 1 business year in the game). We ran the game like owners and took various operation management decisions. So there were a total of five weeks to represent 5 years of game time, the first week we took over the company and took strategic decisions, things like brand name, motto, kpi’s and others… in week 2-5 we took technical decisions, things like choosing a suppliers, reducing overstocked items, increasing or decreasing productions speed.
The aim of this work is to relate decisions taken in the game to the Course itself. Relate each week’s decision to a concept, principle or term in global supply chain management. E.g, there was too much stock in warehouse, even after each months which is as a result of bull whip.
The decisions taken are written in the “Game justification” document
“Game calculation” is just a rough sketch of how I calculated demand and supply (it isn’t really important).
Submission deadline is near and there might not be chances for correction, kindly do this well.
I’m sure to patronise the platform more if this comes out well.
Short introduction,
If you still don’t understand, I can provide you with login to the game so you can see how we did weekly. the document “user manual” can give you an insight to how the game is and decisions taken
