Arts in the Community
1. Candidates will visit an art museum or attend a dance, music, or theater performance virtually or in person and will write a 800+ word discussion board post (including photos) describing and analyzing the observed work in terms of the principles of dance, music, theater, or the visual arts. Candidates will identify themes in the work that are common in a non-arts 1- 6 grade subject, noting common vocabulary words. Ideally, the candidate will select a work they could incorporate into their learning segment or lesson plan.
2. Response to Peers: Ask three peers three open-ended question related to the themes they identified and offer a possible additional theme.

. For this assignment you must describe your experience in 800+ words or more as it relates to the social studies framework/class readings. The format as to how you present your experience is up to you. However, you must tie in the framework and or class readings.
