

-Introduction: The introduction may be one or two paragraphs which includes your thesis (the thesis needs
to be the last sentence of the introduction-please make the thesis BOLD). An introduction needs to hook
the reader. Do not forget to consider your “so what” factor in your thesis. Consider reviewing Resources for
Writing an Essay: FW 2 .
-Body: This includes at least 3 aspects for helping your audience gain an understanding and passion for
your topic. Each body paragraph needs a clear topic sentence, examples and details, and a concluding
sentence. Your body paragraphs should have a pattern of organization (a logical reason for the order). The
Body is where your research is placed.
-Conclusion: The first sentence of your conclusion is a summary statement of your thesis. The rest of the
paragraph is either further convincing, narration, recommendation, or solution; PLEASE NO SUMMARIES
OF YOUR PAPER IN THE CONCLUSION.
Sources:
-You will use a minimum of three sources from the Annotated Bibliography to write this paper. Three of
these will need to be from credible and reliable sources. The other source/s may come from interviews,
social media, or other internet sources.
Audience: This assignment should be directed at your scholarly peers, and you may assume that they have
only a casual familiarity with your topic.
Language:
-Please use 3rd person, strong verbs, specific and concrete points. Stay away from slang, contractions,
clichés, and inappropriate jargon.
