Part 1: Describe the core components of a therapeutic environment. You may also include your sketch from guided learning activity 1 or if preferred include the notes which refer to your observations of the ideal or actual room this is straight forward but you do have to justify points and this will be done by drawing on theory and also ethical frameworks. You can also use dialogue if you wish
Part 2: Explain the administrative responsibilities of a child and adolescent counsellor, making reference to example legislation this means drawing on generic legislation and policy that covers legal obligations etc.
Part 3: Analyse therapeutic tools related to different ages groups in child and adolescent counselling and link these to non-directed and directed discussion, for example use of media linked to goals and skills development. this section requires dialogue and full underpinning by theory and obviously practice approaches.
