Guidelines for Writing Your Term Paper

Topic: You can choose any topic related to finance by using Google search, journals, newspapers, your book, etc. Make sure you have not submitted this topic/paper as an assignment/term paper to any other course. It has to be your own work. Some of the topics you can work on are: Innovation (relationship between innovation, competition and regulation), Bankruptcy prediction using new techniques such as machine learning or artificial intelligence, Currency substitution and inflation, etc. Again, you can choose any topic of your choice.

Abstract – 100 to 150 words
Introduction (put the purpose of your research also here)
Review of Literature (summary of other related articles)
Body of the paper including your own analysis or interpretation of this topic
Conclusion
References (Bibliography)
About 5-page, double spaced, 12 font paper; you can have an additional appendix for tables and graphs if needed.
Paper due: on Sunday, a week before the last day of the class for this course or earlier
Grade: 10% of your overall course grade
