Directions:
Start off your summary with a heading that includes your name and the video lecture / chapter number that you are summarizing. Here is an example:

Title the first half of your paper “Summary” and then summarize the textbook chapter. Be sure to explain what you learned from it and what you believe to be the most important points to remember.
Title the second half of your paper “Need To Know” and then write down the parts of the chapter’s reading that you did not understand or that you have questions about. It could be a problem or topic we went over either in class, from the lecture, or from the reading that you didn’t quite get, and explain where you got stuck. If you understood everything, then state that and then go on to explain what important questions a person would need to know the answer to after doing the chapter readings. An example of a starter sentence of someone who understood all of the information / material might be: I understood everything from this video lecture / textbook chapter and have no questions regarding the information.
