Prompt: A minimum 2,000-word paper addressing the following topics for the student(s) selected ethnic group (Koreans). Students will also submit a maximum five (5) -PowerPoint presentation presenting the findings regarding the ethnic group.
Topics: History of the ethnic group (500 words)
Discuss a brief history of the ethnic group, describing geographic location in the country. If this ethnic group immigrated to the United States, discuss the push-and pull factors of immigration impacting the identified group to immigrate to the United States.
Traits of the ethnic group (500 words)
-Describe the ethnic group in terms of culture, population, and characteristics and trends of this ethnic group.
-Research recent statistics from formal sources such as the U.S. Census data or other information databases to discuss current trends for this specific ethnic group
-Make an assessment of the ethnic group’s status in U.S. society. Do they represent the minority, majority, middle minority? What accounts for barriers to social mobility, if any exists for this ethnic group?
Religious Research (1,000 words)
-Research this ethnic group’s religious affiliation.
-Research this ethnic group’s exposure to the Gospel.
-Based on your research, make professional recommendations for a ministry effort in attempting to start to provide social or ministry services to this ethnic group.
