This video relates to environmental justice. Environmental issues such as fracking, access to clean water, air pollutants and agriculture pollutants affect Indians negatively. The United States uses Indian land to frack which results in their water and crops being damaged. Kandia Mossett talks about how North Dakota is now producing more oil than agriculture. These issues relate to the fact that Indians cannot hold jurisdiction over non-Indians on their land. So, they can’t control all of the pollution and dangerous chemicals being dropped, spilt, and dumped into these pits on their land. Accidents are happening more and more frequently and nothing is done. Their land is now filled with semi-trucks doing vague fracking projects in order to get oil. All of the jobs North Dakota creates for fracking brings in thousands of people from outside the state that are bringing more crime onto the reservation.

One story she tells is finding a danger sign that an area on their land now has poisonous gas in the area. This happens without any of their knowledge, near their main streets and houses. They have no choice but to leave an area with poisonous gas and abandon that piece of land because otherwise their health is at risk. Lastly, she takes a moment to show the ways they have resisted and fought back stating that no one else is going to do it for them.
