Overall Project Description

This project requires 5-6 individuals to work together as a group to design an experiment or to collect data from a phenomenon of the group’s choice. The group may choose any process, i.e. economic, business, chemical, manufacturing, sporting, domestic activity, technical etc. Consider the factors/variables involved in the process, analyse the data collected, investigate a possible relationship between them and make some predictions about it.

In order to conduct the investigation, the group must:

1. Describe the phenomenon to be investigated, carefully identifying and describing the factors/variables involved. Identify what the goal or outcome of the investigation is to be.

2. Describe the process you are using to analyse this phenomenon, generically and technically, no matter if you conduct it yourself or you collect it from other resources (i.e from work or internet).

3. Identify and discuss any strengths and/or weaknesses of your project. Discuss what you can do to improve your project.

4. Visualize your data using a suitable table and graph or plot.
5. Describe the central tendency, variation and shape of your data using appropriate parameters.
6. Include exploratory analysis as needed.
7. Identify the relationship between your factors/variables and make appropriate predictions using this relationship.
