Graphic Design Project 2: Book Design

For Project 2, you will re-design a book design. Select a book that you are interested in or will have fun designing.

Choose a book based on the content or a book you feel that you can design with mastery.

Requirements:

– Book dimensions must be 5.5″ x 8.5″
– You must format in InDesign and work within confines of spine and bleed areas
– Design the following:
>Cover
>Title Page
>Table of Contents
>First page of chapter
You may use the attached template if you wish.

1. Select your book and start your initial design of the cover. Complete the cover design and Write a statement of your approach in regards to design style and objectives of the design.

2. (Based on feedback,) revise your initial cover design. Make your cover design as final as possible so that the design can reflect in the other pages. Start your initial designs for the Title Page, Table of Contents, and the First page Chapter 1.

3. Refine your designs and present your final design.

※This project was originally divided into 3 weeks but you only need to complete the initial cover design and the statement and the revised version of the design. Thank you!
