Professor’s instructions: Over the past two weeks, you’ve looked at the U.S. economy and its business cycles, and you’ve looked at the global economy as a whole. This week we look at the developing world, particularly from a Christian perspective. But I’m going to change things up a bit on you: instead of looking at data and spreadsheets this time, let’s watch a video and respond to it. One of my passions as an economist is economic growth and development, and discovering how we can get to a world in which everyone has an opportunity to flourish. I’m a fan of the PovertyCure video series put out by the Acton Institute, and I’ve used their material in several of my classes. I think many of you will find it interesting and different from what we often hear about concerning poverty and development. **Open the worksheet first, though, and look through the three questions to which I’m asking you to respond.
