Assignment 3
After completing the assigned readings, log on to Harvard’s Project Implicit website. “Project Implicit is a non-profit organization and international collaboration between researchers who are interested in implicit social cognition – thoughts and feelings outside of conscious awareness and control. The goal of the organization is to educate the public about hidden biases and to provide a “virtual laboratory” for collecting data on the Internet” (Source: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/aboutus.html).
After reading the preliminary information, choose a test to take and complete the test. Following the test, you will receive feedback. Your assignment is to reflect on this feedback. Some questions to consider: Does the feedback make sense to you? Do you agree or disagree? Why do you think you scored as you did? What are the larger implications?
You are encouraged to explore more about the Implicit Association Test and use that information in your reflection. Your paper should not exceed two pages and does not have to be formatted in APA style.
