The paper must be a minimum of 800 words, typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, with one-inch margins. Also, you must use MLA or Chicago Manual of Style Citation formatting when citing information from readings, lectures or other sources. You will also need a cover page with a title, your name, the date, and the name of the course and instructor.
Your assignment must contain a clear introductory paragraph in which you conclusively answer the questions posed above, an organized body with supporting arguments drawn from evidence in readings, lectures and primary sources, as well as a conclusion summarizing your evidence and arguments. All statements that are not considered “common knowledge” must be supported by examples and properly cited in footnotes or in-text citations. You must draw specific examples from the class readings and lectures in order to support your arguments.
