You will be required to formulate a case plan for working with an addicted client.

Firstly, consider what types of interventions / strategies / therapy that would help and support Brad.

Thirdly, a huge part of developing a case plan is developing goals.
For each support need (identified in heading 3) , you will need to write up a SMART goal.
SMART format: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely.
Do you know what a SMART goal is?
You will need to pick two support areas and write up one goal respectively.
For example, if Brad is experiencing chronic anxiety, I would research how anxiety can be supported from a therapeutic stance.
I would then make recommendation as articulated below.
Recommendation: Brad would / could benefit from receiving psychological support.
I would then discuss some of the strategies as expressed in the literature on supporting individuals who have anxiety challenges.
Take note of how I stated “would / could benefit” as opposed to “will benefit”.
