After attending, submit a 1-2 reflective journal entry. Be certain to include the following:
a. The date, location and type of meeting attending.
b. A brief description of the type of program you attended. (for example, if you attend an AA meeting, you will write about the 12-step program and how the program works, etc.)
c. Your ‘feelings’ –
a. What did you expect the meeting to be like prior to attending?
b. What did you feel / observe during the meeting? How many people were in attendance? Did you observe anything about the participants that was remarkable?
c. Were your preconceived notions affirmed? Or did you leave the meeting with an entirely new understanding?
2. Create an informational flyer listing at least 5 Virtual Mental Health Resources available directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can choose to use an online flyer format, trifold/bifold, single sheet or create a Public Service Announcement (No more than 2 minutes long) using video.
For each of the resources you identify, include most important information for each such as how their services can be accessed, what type of service is available (ie online, live counselor, etc), is there a cost associated with this, etc. Also, as part of the information on your informational flyer, include information that would be available to individuals that did not have access to a computer. (Just imagine how difficult it would be for each of us if we didn’t have access to the internet….)
3. TULSA DAY CENTER FOR THE HOMELESS – Make a flyer for Tulsa day center for the homeless targeting audience /individuals with varied educational levels. Try to create the flyer in such a way that it could be beneficial to those with an 8th grade educational level or above. Also, take into consideration the possibility that the target audience may have visual limitations and avoid small / difficult to read fonts. (Reinforce the information presented in text with graphics, etc. to guide individuals that might have difficulty reading or have impaired vision.)
Instructions:
