For this week, we have one Discussion Forum for main and response posts on culture and psychological disorders.
Required Readings (Learning Resources)
For this week, we have several required readings to use as resources for your discussion posts on group culture and psychological disorders. These readings include four peer reviewed journal articles on culture and psychological disorders (Draguns & Tanaka-Matsumi, 2003; Hwang, Myers, Abe-Kim, & Ting, 2008; Lewis-Fernandez & Kleinman, 1988; Lopez & Guarnaccia, 2000) . We also have one online article (Ryder, Yang, & Heine, 2002) and one book chapter (Abi-Hashem, 2018). In addition, we have some optional resources, including two peer reviewed journal articles (Kleinman, 1982; Lewis-Fernandez, et al., 2014) and one book chapter (Sirikangraporn, Rich, & Jafari, 2018).
Locating the Readings
Note: The readings are available in the course for download within the course in Blackboard (there are no textbooks to purchase for the course). For this week, the link for the required journal articles is included in the Syllabus, under Course Materials, Course Readings List (this is also accessible through a search in the Walden Online Library), and the link for the online readings and the book chapter are both included under Required Reading in the Week 6 Learning Resources.
