Rough draft: Friday, February 28 before class
Peer review: Friday, February 28 in class
Final draft: Friday, March 6 before class
In this essay, you will discuss a topic, about or related to identity/a particular identity, which you have researched and formed your own thoughts and opinions on. You will now shape those thoughts into an argument that you clearly communicate in your writing. Throughout your paper, you will also cite the words and ideas of others to help establish your credibility, emphasize points, introduce counterpoints, etc. The sources you use need to be clearly cited, both through the use of in-text citations and a works cited page; failure to include either or both of these things will result in a grade penalty, and could be considered plagiarism.
Requirements
MLA formatting (12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, etc.)
6-8 pages long
6 sources minimum, of which at least 4 must be secondary sources
