Find an article written in a prominent anthropology journal that analyzes social relations in a particular context. use an article from any journal published by the American Anthropological Association, or Cultural Anthropology, Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute, Human Organization, Anthropology Quarterly, Anthropology of this Century, or Anthropologica. Many other high quality Anthropology journals are available, but if you wish to choose one that is not on this list, you should clear it first with the instructor.
Instructions:
The review should be written in essay form. The body of the essay should have three parts:
A summary of the paper’s central argument using a diagram;
An explanation of the diagram in written form;
A discussion of how the article relates to the anthropological perspective as outlined in the first three modules of the course.
Your argument should be supported by references to the article and to other anthropological readings from the course or other academic sources as appropriate. You should cite at least three other sources.
The article review should be around 1000 words in length.
